I started my holiday home business in 2020, following the tragic and sudden loss of my husband. It had always been his dream to run a holiday home business. Nick had built The Hideaway from scratch and used his pension to purchase The Retreat. Sadly, he passed away the day before we were set to host our first guests on 20 July 2020. In his honour, I decided to continue the business.
I later purchased a second home at Shorefield, which my then 10-year-old son named Heavenly Haven in memory of his dad. In 2024, I added a fourth property to the portfolio, Bayview, which I converted into a holiday home.
The Hideaway and Bayview share the same grounds and are both ideally situated right next to the award winning Blue Flag Botany Bay.
I am proud to have achieved Superhost status with Airbnb and the Guests’ Favourite award with Booking.com prestigious recognitions that are not easily earned.
